Funeral Party, a three-piece alternative rock band rising out of the East L.A. party scene.
Debut full length, The Golden Age of Knowhere, will be available on vinyl February 15th, 2011 ahead of its official US album release in
March. The record was produced by Lars Stalfors (Matt & Kim, The Mars Volta) and mixed by Dave Sardy (Band of Horses, LCD
Soundsystem, Oasis.)
The Live at the BBC EP sampler is currently available which includes three tracks from their Live at the BBC Session ('Just Because,' 'New York City Moves to the Sound of LA,' and 'Finale') as well as three remixes by Dave Sitek (TV on The Radio,) Kids of 88 and Mike Relm.
A 7-inch vinyl is also available featuring 'Finale' and a B-side of 'Just Because.'
Following buzz from the UK (and a playlist at Radio 1) with stand out tracks 'New York City Moves to the Sound Of L.A.' and 'Just Because,' the band will release their first U.S. single, 'Finale,' scheduled to impact both U.S. & U.K. radio in 2011.

'New York City Moves to the Sound of LA' was chosen as BBC Radio's Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Record in the World.' He recently hailed 'Finale,' '...pop music done the Funeral Party way; sharp and full of energy.'
The LA Times says, '...singer Chad Elliot [makes] a good case for being the best male vocalist in local rock right now.'
The band has performed at several festivals this past summer including Hard Rock Calling and Reading & Leeds.
Funeral Party's energetic live act has led to opening slots alongside the likes of Julian Casablancas, Yelle and Trail of Dead as well as appearances at South By Southwest and the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
