Blowing his stack after losing a coveted promotion, L.A. adman David Howard (Albert Brooks, who co-wrote and directed) sells his wife Linda (Julie Hagerty) on quitting work, liquidating their assets, and hitting the open road in a Winnebago. Once they "head out on the highway," though, they find obstacles that make "Easy Rider's" pale in comparison. Yuppified "Search for America" comedy also stars Garry Marshall, Maggie Roswell. 92 min.
