"For more than thirty years, I have been the safeguard of the Sun Ra Music Archive as directed by Sun Ra himself. This appointment led to my working with Alton Abraham and James Bryant while building an Alter Archive that has remained in The Shadow World until now. As both an Arkestra performer and archive director, I am now reveling the Reality of the Myth - Sun Ra's accomplishments as a performer exceed far beyond the avant psychedelic jazz aspect he portrayed. I have restored complete studio sessions, from which only segments were used to construct albums. A majority of the Saturn and El Saturn LP releases were compiled from two or more dates to make an album. Now the recordings have been restored to their original session sequence. It is in the music telling the story, and the words giving the story wings, that gives truth to the Reality of the Myth on who this little man from outer space via Alabama with the round center was. The findings are incredible after having stored the tapes for so many years. This second volume of poems, entitled The Sub Dwellers, are all recited by Sun Ra in the years 1966, 1968 and 1982.
