Almost three years after her second album, M.I.A. returns with /\/\/\Y/\, a set released on her N.E.E.T. label through XL and Astralwerks. The two songs issued as teasers -- the harsh and repetitious "†Born Free,†" accompanied by an attention-grabbing video, and the slinking, surprisingly poppy "†XXXO†" -- merely indicated the wide scope of the album, which features input from Diplo, Blaqstarr, Switch, and Rusko.
