Nashville newcomer Van Soest (the abbreviated moniker of singer-songwriter Michael Van Soest) just released a somber rock ballad, “Poison,” the single off of his new album, War Sleep, which dropped earlier this week. Produced by Josh Niles, “Poison” is lushly instrumented, complimented by Van Soest’s natural vocal range and self-aware lyrics.
