Mauricio Maestro - Upside Down Born in Rio de Janeiro, spending his childhood in Tijuca, in the Azorean de Souza Street, near the Square Sans Pena. [1] He began his professional career by integrating vocal group Momentoquatro along with David Tygel, Zé Rodrix and Ricardo Vilas, group accompanied Edu Lobo in 1967 in the presentation of "Ponteio" in the Festival of Rede Record. [2] From 1969 starts on electric bass estrando professionally as bassist in 1970 as a member of The Holy Family. [3] It was the arranger of success Marcos and Paulo Sérgio Valle "Mustang color of blood", written by Marcos Valle. [2] In 1971 form trio of Progressive Rock Paulo, Cláudio & Mauritius. The trio was formed by Maurício Maestro (bass and vocals), twin brothers Paulo Guimarães (flute and vocals) and Claudio Guimaraes (guitar and voice) or PCM. In 1972 they recorded a double compact (4 songs) accompanied, as a guest, the drummer Gustavo Schroeter (ex A Bubble and future Velvet and The Sound Color). In the same year the trio of Marcos Valle lp, fellow progressive South Winds (on this record there is the song "Flying Blind", composed by Claudio Guimaraes, was touched by the PCM, with Vinicius Canterbury band The Rosary on drums and Fredera band Imaginary sound on guitar, but, curiously, without the Marcos Valle). PCM was one of the pioneers groups in the Brazilian progressive rock, the band survived in the art scene until 1974, playing his own compositions. From 1975 to 1977 Maurício Maestro performed in duo with singer-songwriter Joyce. [2] In 1978 he founded the Boca Livre together with David Tygel, Zé Renato Nucci and Claudio.
